Financing & Payment Options are Available!

The UT Culinary & Catering Program is a full-time 12-week, 400-hour certificate course. The course fee is $8,500 and includes all required books and materials. As a certificate course, the UT Culinary & Catering Program is not eligible for FAFSA benefits, but a number of financing and payment options are available:

  1. Payments may be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover), cash, certified check, or money order.  Certified checks or money orders must be made payable to The University of Tennessee.
  2. SallieMae Smart Option Student Loan—For more information about this loan, you may visit their Smart Option Student Loan site or contact SallieMae at 1-866-972-5004. The school code for UT Non-Credit Programs is: 00353097.
  3. Our easy deferred payment plan—A Deferred Payment Plan (DPP) is available to students in good financial standing. The DPP permits eligible students to pay 30% of the total course charges on or before the published date of the course. After the first installment of 30% payment is made, the second installment (25%) is due approximately 45 days later, with two additional installments due within 45 days of the scheduled dates. For more information or to sign up for a DPP, please call Pam Quick at 865-974-3181.

Deferred Payment Plan Fees
A $35.00 late fee will be assessed if installments are not paid on or before each due date whether or not the student receives a reminder statement. All unpaid fees and charges must be paid in order to access registration services, receive a transcript, grades, or a certificate. Payment of the minimum 30% of the tuition obligates the student to the terms and conditions of the DPP.  All existing rules and policies pertaining to returned checks, refunds, withdrawal from the course, school, service charges and collection costs are applicable to the DPP.
