Chef Shona House

The story of Faith Baked Cakes is one of triumph over adversity. What began as a friend’s dream has turned into a thriving cake decoration business for owner Shona House. House says God has been preparing her for this business her whole life. Her cake journey began at age 8 with a cake baked in an Easy Bake Oven and designed especially for her grandmother. She is now the owner and confectionery artist of Faith Baked Cakes, creating custom-made cakes and elaborate wedding cakes. When House wanted to expand her cake business to catering, she decided to enroll in the UT Culinary & Catering Program, graduating in the fall of 2013. House also teaches a summer Kids U “Crazy Confections” course introducing kids to the skills needed for creating beautiful, fun cakes!
