Brandon Wilson’s first job was washing dishes at the International House of Pancakes when he was 15 years old. After working his way through high school and college in restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, he graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in journalism.
He maintained a successful career as a journalist for nearly 10 years but had dreams of returning to the kitchen and opening his own restaurant; therefore, he decided to go back to school at the University of Tennessee’s Culinary Program to improve his cooking skills. Upon graduation, he cooked at downtown Knoxville’s Windows on the Park while planning the construction of a fully equipped, upscale food trailer.
Wilson, now chef-owner of Gonzo Gourmet, is currently circling Knoxville and beyond as a streetside food vendor and professional caterer.
